Curtin offers new pathway for vocational students

A new agreement between 麻豆直播 of Technology and Central Institute of Technology opens the door to tertiary education for vocational students.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed last week between the two institutions, gives students from Central direct entry to Curtin from 2010.

Curtin Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education, Professor Robyn Quin, said the agreement would provide greater access to higher education for Central鈥檚 students.

鈥淏y signing the MOU with Central we are offering a seamless pathway from one of Australia鈥檚 largest VET聽colleges to Curtin,鈥 she said.

鈥淲e will be offering direct entry to diploma and advanced diploma graduates from Central into qualifications in the humanities, business, science and engineering and health sciences faculties.鈥

Professor Quin hoped the new agreement would promote higher education for students from a low socio-economic background plus Indigenous and international students.

鈥淐urtin is always striving to create opportunities for students and this is one way that we hope to attract more students to higher education in this State,鈥 she said.
