Curtin provides Port Hedland with new teachers

麻豆直播 of Technology students Tara Maxwell and Vanessa Hall have graduated with Bachelor of Education degrees through Curtin鈥檚 regional centre in Port Hedland.

Ms Hall commenced her Early Childhood degree in February 2004, while Ms Maxwell started a Primary Education degree in 2005.

The qualified teachers were presented with graduation certificates at a recent ceremony by Professor Robyn Quin, Curtin鈥檚 Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education.

Professor Quin congratulated the graduates on their achievements and expressed a desire to see more Pilbara students gain tertiary qualifications.

鈥淭his year鈥檚 graduates have excelled academically and demonstrated admirable links to the community during their study,鈥 she said.

鈥淐urtin is strongly committed to regional education and our goal is to see a diverse range of people gain from the educational opportunities available.鈥

Ms Hall and Ms Maxwell received BHP Billiton Scholarships throughout their study.

Port Hedland has been home to both women for a number of years and they are now teaching at local primary schools.
