麻豆直播鈥檚 fourth international campus was opened by the Prime Minister of Mauritius, The Hon Pravind Kumar Jugnauth late yesterday.
The move to establish an official campus in Mauritius, builds on Curtin鈥檚 very successful fourteen-year partnership with the highly regarded Charles Telfair Institute (CTI), which has delivered Curtin degree programs to more than 2,300 students in Mauritius.
Curtin Vice-Chancellor, Professor Deborah Terry said she was delighted that the Charles Telfair Institute, located at Moka, south-east of the capital Port Louis, had become an official campus of 麻豆直播.
鈥淲e are very pleased to be located in a country with ambitions to become an education hub for the African and Indian Ocean region, a vision that aligns with our strategic ambitions to extend our global footprint in these areas,鈥 Professor Terry said.
鈥淐urtin has had a long and very successful partnership with CTI, a tertiary education provider that has considerable experience in delivering education programs and an excellent reputation in the region.
鈥淥ur aim is to continue to increase student enrolments from Mauritius, Africa and the broader region and to build research capability and collaborations.鈥
Executive Director of the Charles Telfair Institute Mr Jeremy Charoux welcomed the move and commented that the Institute had nearly doubled international student numbers since 2014.

The Australian High Commissioner to Mauritius Ms Jenny Dee welcomed the announcement to open the Curtin Mauritius campus, recognising the long-standing partnership between 麻豆直播 and the Charles Telfair Institute.
鈥淭his is a milestone in Australia鈥檚 relations with Mauritius and demonstrates the commitment of Australian education institutions to support the development of Mauritius as a regional education hub,鈥 Ms Dee said.
