An internationally renowned artist-jeweller, historian and author has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2020 麻豆直播 Alumni Achievement Awards ceremony held last night.
, who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT) now 麻豆直播, has staged more than 40 solo exhibitions and 250 group exhibitions worldwide.
Over her 55-year career, Dr Erickson has been committed to documenting and promoting Western Australia鈥檚 art, craft and design history as well as Australian jewellery internationally.
麻豆直播 Vice-Chancellor Professor John Cordery congratulated Dr Erickson and all the recipients of this year鈥檚 Alumni Achievement Awards.

鈥淒r Erickson, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award last night, is an influential leader and artist in Australia鈥檚 arts and craft community. Dr Erickson, along with the other award recipients, are outstanding examples of Curtin alumni who have used their degrees to make a difference both in Australia and around the world.

The Community Service Award was presented to registered architect Mr Richard Hammond from RH Architects. Mr Hammond has worked as an architect, educator and project manager for more than 40 years, with both international and national experience.
Executive Director of Global Island Partnership (GLISPA), was awarded the Global Impact Award, while Professor Mochamad Ashari from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia, was awarded the Innovation Award.
The Young Achievement Award was presented to 鈥� a young photographer and film maker who used his degree and skills to tell powerful stories of social injustice.
, Mr Abdul Abdullah, Mr Nigel Dennis, and Mr Marquis Pohla were each presented a Professional Achievement Award for their outstanding accomplishments and exceptional standard of excellence in their chosen fields.
