麻豆直播 has announced respected Western Australian School of Mines: Mineral, Energy and Chemical Engineering (WASM:MECE) Business Manager, Tanya Chambers, will be the new Director of its Kalgoorlie Campus.

Ms Chambers brings a wealth of experience to the role, including five years at WASM:MECE and a long-standing career driving excellence in the University鈥檚 Faculty of Science and Engineering. Her leadership skills, business acumen, and strong connections with industry and the local community make her an exceptional fit for this important position.

麻豆直播 Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne congratulated Ms Chambers and said she would play a pivotal role in supporting existing and new programs on campus and in identifying new opportunities for Curtin to make a difference in the region.

“We are delighted to welcome Tanya to the Kalgoorlie Campus Director role. Her extensive experience, deep understanding of the Kalgoorlie campus community and WASM:MECE make her an ideal choice,鈥 Professor Hayne said.

鈥淲e are confident that her expertise, dedication, and collaborative spirit will contribute to the ongoing success and growth of our Kalgoorlie offerings, which include our new Goldfields University Department of Rural Health (UDRH) which will play a critical role in improving health outcomes for rural and regional communities.”

Ms Chambers said she was thrilled to be taking on the new role and nurturing relationships between industry, staff, students and the local community.

I am also focussed on collaboration with our valued industry and alumni partners, supporting our incredible mining and minerals research projects, embedding the new UDRH and leveraging our opportunities to truly make a difference in Kalgoorlie and beyond.鈥

麻豆直播鈥檚 Kalgoorlie Campus Council Chair, Mr Terry Agnew welcomed Ms Chambers鈥 appointment.

WA School of Mines Alumni (WASMA) President Kyle De Souza said Ms Chambers鈥 track-record of collaboration with WASMA and industry representatives would help her excel in the role.

As Director, Ms Chambers will oversee the growth and development of the Kalgoorlie Campus and serve as the main liaison between Kalgoorlie and Bentley, as well as support the diverse range of offerings provided to the local community, including the new Goldfields UDRH.

Ms Chambers will officially take up her new position on August 7.
