麻豆直播鈥檚 Business School (CBS) has added to its financial market and policy-making expertise with the appointment of Paul Bloxham, Chief Economist (Australia and New Zealand) for global bank HSBC.

Mr Bloxham will take on the position of Adjunct Professor and give a number of lectures to both students and academics at the University.

Professor Helen Cabalu, Head of School, Economics and Finance, said the appointment supported the strong commitment of the School of Economics and Finance to actively engage with industry.

鈥淲e are always looking for new ways to work with key organisations in the economics and finance sectors and Paul鈥檚 appointment will help the School develop beneficial partnerships,鈥 Dr Cabalu said.

A Curtin Business School alum, Mr Bloxham said it was a great pleasure to be involved again with 麻豆直播, and was particularly looking forward to the lecturing role.

鈥淎s a macroeconomic adviser, my expertise comes from practicing out in the field 鈥 assessing the impact of local and global economic developments on Australia and New Zealand and translating that into commercial terms for HSBC鈥檚 customers globally. With that background I believe that I can bring knowledge to CBS and help to strengthen the University鈥檚 already strong ties with industry,鈥 Mr Bloxham said.
