°Â³ó²¹³ÙÌýis happening?Ìý
Google is currently rolling out a software update for Google Chrome version 80+ that is affecting browser cookies (bits ofÌýinformationÌýfromÌýwebsitesÌývisited that areÌýstoredÌýon your computer). This is having a down-stream impact on staff and student applications that useÌýSingleÌýSign-On (SSO),Ìýfor example:ÌýeStudentÌýorÌýeAcademic).Ìý
When students click on a linkÌýtoÌýone of theÌýaffected applications,Ìýafter two minutes fromÌýtheÌýinitial Oasis login,ÌýSingleÌýSign-OnÌýmay fail, causing a redirect to the Curtin Staff Portal page.Ìý
Digital & Technology Solutions is working on resolving thisÌýissue as a priority.
What services are being affected?Ìý
ServicesÌýthat are not part of the curtin.edu.au domain, may be impacted by the issueÌýwhen ChromeÌýversion 80+Ìýis used as the web browser. This includes:Ìý
- eStudentÌý
- eAcademic
- FinanceOneÌý
What do I need to do?Ìý
If you use Google Chrome and experience the issues described above, we recommend using a different browser (eg.ÌýMicrosoft Edge).ÌýIt is anticipated that other browsers (eg.ÌýMicrosoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox)ÌýwillÌýbe rolling out the sameÌýupdate later this year.Ìý
Alternatively, you can clear your browser history to access the page again.ÌýÌý
Note, you will need to close the browser and reopen it for it to be effective.Ìý
