Specialisation overview
This extension specialisation is suitable for chemical engineering students who wish to gain insights into the field of energy engineering with a broad understanding of the various challenges and appropriate pathways for managing industry’s transition to renewable energy sources. It covers the fundamentals and applications of natural gas processing, and electrochemical energy storage and conversion, as well as green hydrogen production via electrolysis using renewable energy. Materials selection to combat corrosion in operational units is also covered.
