Students are juicy targets for cybercriminals especially during peak study periods when stress is high and inboxes are overflowing. A single compromised password can unlock your student email, assignments, and even your personal info. But there’s good news: a few simple habits can slam the door on cybercriminals. Follow DTS’s tips to keep your accounts locked down and your data safe.

Use Multi-Factor Authentication

  • Protects accounts with a second factor like a phone code, even if your password is stolen.

Choose passphrases over passwords

  • Use like “PurpleKoalaPlaysGuitar3!” instead of short, reused passwords.
