Enhanced Digital Connections: The Directory Consolidation Project

Curtin is moving Microsoft Student Accounts to the same directory where Staff Accounts are located which is a significant step forward in enabling collaboration and engagement between students and lecturers.

Impacts to You: What You Need to Know and Do

  • From 5:00 pm 17 November to 8:00 am 20 November your student accounts including your OneDrive and email data will be migrated
  • During this time students may not have access to email, OneDrive, and other Microsoft services provided by Curtin.
  • Other data such as MS Teams files and SharePoint pages and files won’t be migrated and will be deleted if you do not act.  
  • OneNote files are backed up to your OneDrive account unless you specifically changed the location.  If you are unsure where your OneNote files are being saved, we recommend taking a backup.

If you access your Curtin email through an app on your phone or device, you’ll need to delete your Curtin email profile from the app and then re-add it to restore access.
